Referrals, Rebates & Fees

You do not require a referral to see a psychologist at LifeRoots Psychology for counselling sessions. However, you may be eligible for rebates from Medicare if you visit your GP prior to attending counselling to request a referral under the Better Access to Mental Health Scheme. LifeRoots Psychology is registered for Medicare and Health Fund Rebates.

At LifeRoots Psychology fees for psychological services are guided by the recommended rates of the Australian Psychological Society, their current recommended rate is $300. However, LifeRoots Psychology chooses to offer significantly lower rates. The standard rate for an individual session is $230. In certain circumstances additional fees may apply. Bulk-billing is not available at this clinic. Please discuss with your psychologist prior to your first session.

Fees are to be paid on the day of consultation via direct bank transfer.

Reports: All reports are charged at $260 per hour. Please note I do not do provide reports for court including Family Court work.
